Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition - First Round Finalist

Dylan Tang is 18 years old and is currently a first year student in Bachelor of Music at the University of Auckland. He started playing the piano at the age of six. He is currently studying piano with Rae de Lisle. When he was 9 years old, he played with Lang Lang on stage in China as he won first award. He has won several piano competitions in the past few years while he was residing in New Zealand including NSPACS, Lewis Eady and IRMT competitions. Dylan is very passionate about the violin as well. He started playing the violin at the age of 11 and he was in the school orchestra and chamber orchestra. He was also participating in chamber group competitions with his piano playing.
