Sara began her piano studies at the age of six, studying with Soo Jung Shin and winning several regional competitions throughout that time. Then she moved to Moscow to study piano at the Tchaikovsky Music School and Conservatory in Moscow. She received several awards from the school including outstanding performance awards.
Sara has won national and international competitions since then.
She received prizes for her performances in various international piano competitions such as the USA Cincinnati World Piano Competition (Grand Prize), Citta di Barletta in Italy (1st prize), Austria International Chopin Piano Competition (2nd prize and best performance prize), Hamilton Piano Competition (1st prize), the 2017 Auckland University Graduation Gala Piano Concerto and Competition (1st prize) and the 2018 USA Tennessee Lee Festival and International Piano Competition (1st prize).
Sara participated in the KeriKeri International Piano Competition, the Busoni International Competition, George Enescu International Competition, Verona International Piano Competition, Palazzo Nicolaci Palace Unesco World Heritage Sites, was selected for the Italian Accademia Pianistca Siciliana Piano Concerts (2016), and received the Scholarship at Brevard Festival as well as the APO Haydn Staples Scholarship (2018).
She has performed at the Conservatory, Rachmaninoff Hall of Moscow Conservatory (Moscow, Russia), Kumhoart Hall (Seoul), Mozart Hall (Seoul) Wiener Saal of Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria), Konzertsal Handel Karee Haus (Halle, Germany), Lyon Conservatory Hall (France), concert at Town Hall in New Zealand, Academie Internationale de musique de clombes (recital), Auckland Town Hall with Auckland Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Youth Orchestra.
Sara participated in masterclasses with acclaimed pianists such as Dimitri Bashkirov, Andrej Jasinski, Pavel Gililov, Epifanio comis and Boris Berman and she is currently studying at the University of Auckland under Stephen de Pledge.
